A judge imposed a prison sentence against alleged members of ‘Clan del Golfo’: Banderleys López Mosquera, alias Bander, and Edwin de Jesús Conde Restrepo, allegedly responsible for participating in the murder of six people in the municipality of Apartadó (Antioquia).

The victims, all male, were murdered with a firearm between March 2, 2023 and February 20, 2024. They are: Juan Carlos Mosquera Atencio and César Emilio Palacios who were murdered on January 10, 2024 in Villa Hored neighborhood in the above mentioned municipality.

Conde Restrepo was allegedly in charge of identifying the people who were going to be murdered by alias Bander.

The National Police arrested the defendants in the municipality of Apartadó.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with criminal conspiracy, homicide and manufacture, trafficking or illegal possession of firearms for personal defense, all aggravated. They did not plead guilty to the charges.

Carlos Alberto Guaitoto Alvarado, alleged ringleader of the criminal organization’s hitmen, and Juan Carlos Lugo Salgado were informed about these facts in prison. In the next few days they will be summoned to a hearing.
