A judge imposed a prison sentence against the soldier Gerson David Tovar Torres, 19 years old, who would be responsible for taking another companion ‘s life.
The facts took place on June 15 at a military base located in the rural area of Charras de San José del Guaviare (Guaviare). Apparently, the defendant arrived at the bunk bed where his companion was resting and, after insulting him, he shot him.
Troops in the area searched the soldier who was arrested in flagrante delicto and was taken to the main city of the department.
The Attorney General’s Office charged him with homicide. He did not plead guilty.
