A prosecutor from the so-called Unidad de Vida in Montería prosecuted Stuart Durango Barrera for his alleged responsibility in the murder. He did not plead guilty.
The facts took place on January 24, in a rural area of the municipality of Planeta Rica (Córdoba), in which the defendant had an argument with a 42-year-old man, and caused him serious injuries with a bladed weapon and then fled the scene. As a result of these injuries, the victim died while he was treated at a healthcare center.
The National Police, who was alerted about the facts were able to arrest Durango Barrera moments later.
By court order, the 20-year-old defendant will remain in Las Mercedes de Montería prison.
