One person was also injured in the commision of the criminal action perpetrated in a commercial establishment
The Attorney General’s Office achieved the prosecution of Cristopher José Marín Villegas, the alleged perpetrator of a triple homicide recorded on April 20, in Urrao (Antioquia).
This citizen from Venezuela is accused of entering a bar and watching the victims for several minutes, while having a beer. Then, he allegedly drew a firearm and shot indiscriminately at the people who were spending time in the establishment.
As a result of the criminal act, three people died; while one was seriously injured.
Due to the above, a prosecutor belonging to the so-called Grupo de Homicidios Colectivos (Collective Homicides Group) of Dirección de Apoyo Territorial (Directorate for Territorial Support) charged him with aggravated homicide, attempted homicide; and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a new custodial sentence was issued for Marín Villegas. Currently, he remains in prison for other criminal acts.
