The conclusive evidence provided by the Attorney General’s Office allowed a judge with guarantee control functions to impose a prison sentence against the  businessman Allan Scalzo Gómez, investigated for being allegedly responsible for ordering the murder of a 30 year old cattle breeder and banana merchant.

The facts took place on July 12, 2019 in the Las Américas neighborhood in Santa Marta (Magdalena). According to the investigation, the defendant allegedly paid 2 million pesos to two people for the murder of the victim.

Due to these events, the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), in coordination with Dijin- National Police, arrested Scalzo Gómez on May 17 in the Los Cocos sector in Magdalena.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendant with aggravated homicide. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
