The conclusive evidence presented by a prosecutor in Norte de Santander allowed a judge to impose a prison sentence against Miguel Ángel Contreras Linares, alias “Manchas”, for his alleged responsibility in a homicide that took place on January 13 in the Motilones neighborhood in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
The victim was the manager of a bar where the defendant arrived and allegedly shot him with a firearm. Another person who was at the place was also injured.
Contreras Linares was arrested by judicial order on May 28th by CTI and National Police officers in La Victoria neighborhood in Cúcuta.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with homicide, attempted homicide (both aggravated), and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
Contreras Linares has other criminal proceedings for similar facts that occurred in January and April in Norte de Santander.
