This person was sent to prison for the crime of homicide and has four criminal records for other crimes.
At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Raúl Mosquera Meneses, alias Chiqui, an alleged member of the Los Popis criminal gang who committed crimes in El Bordo (Cauca).
Alias Chiqui was arrested by the National Police when he intimidated several people in Luis Carlos Galán neighborhood. Apparently, the detainee violated the house arrest measure that had been imposed on him in a process for aggravated robbery offenses.
It was also established that the defendant has another criminal process as alleged perpetrator of a homicide that occurred in Cali.
After his arrest, this person was transferred to Cali and was placed at the disposal of the criminal court that wanted him to comply a security measure in the Villahermosa prison for homicide.

The Prosecutor’s Office investigated 28 homicides in which the Los Popis criminal gang was allegedly involved. It is believed that this network was hired by Carlos Patiño FARC dissidents to commit selective murders. Several crimes were committed through the use of sharp weapons in the sectors: Popular, La Floresta and Galán of El Bordo (Cauca). Nine members of the criminal structure were arrested and security measures in prison were issued.
