Alias El Guajiro was charged with nine crimes that occurred between 2021 and 2023. With this judicial action, 21 violent deaths are attributed to him.
The Attorney General’s Office obtained conclusive evidence to demonstrate the criminal actions committed by Edwin Collo Dagua, alias Guajiro, a possible leader of the armed group of the self-proclaimed Ismael Ruiz front of FARC dissidents, accused of promoting a wave of homicides in the municipalities of Tolima and Huila.
This man allegedly participated in nine violent deaths that occurred between May 2021 and May 2023. All facts were perpetrated with firearms and in a rural area.
One of the crimes took place on May 28, 2021, in the San Agustín rural area, in Planadas (Tolima). Alias Guajiro, in the company of other members of the illegal armed group, allegedly attacked a man indiscriminately. Later, on December 23, 2021, he allegedly participated in a triple homicide Aipecito, Neiva (Huila).
According to the evidence, he would also be involved in a murder that took place on May 15, 2023, in a billiard hall in the rural area La Marina, in Chaparral (Tolima).
Therefore, a prosecutor from the Directorate for Territorial Support charged Collo Dagua with aggravated homicide, and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.
With these new facts, there are 21 homicides for which alias Guajiro is being investigated. Recently, he was prosecuted and sent to prison for other criminal actions, such as the armed attack on a National Police patrol, which caused the death of seven officers died on September 2, 2022, in the San Luis rural area, in Neiva (Huila).
