At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence against Harol Parra Polanco, 21, accused of having attacked several people from the San Gerardo rural area with blunt weapons from Garzón (Huila).
According to the investigations, the attacks began in April 2024, when the defendant attacked Robinson Monje Vásquez, 25 years old, with a machete, causing him permanent physical damages.
Likewise, it was proved that Parra Polanco apparently attacked other four residents of the same sector with a knife, in which two of them received a medical-legal certification of 2 months due to the injuries.
It should be noted that the defendant had several complaints before the local authorities by some people in the Bellavista neighborhood and from surrounding areas after his constant attacks.
Members of the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI), Police and Army, arrested Parra Polanco in the rural area of that municipality.
In the preliminary hearings, the Prosecutor’s Office charged him with attempted homicide and aggravated personal injuries. The defendant did not plead guilty.
