At the request of prosecutors from the Sectional Office in Bolívar, a prison sentence was issued against three men who allegedly participated in two homicides that occurred this year in Cartagena (Bolívar).
Attack that took place in Los Calamares
On April 25, 2024, in Los Calamares neighborhood, Elian Manuel Simanca Julio and Gabrel Briseño (sic) approached a 46-year-old man who was on the terrace of a building and, apparently, shot him several times and he died when he was transferred to a medical center.
The alleged attackers were arrested by the National Police and a 9 millimeter caliber pistol and four projectiles were seized.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking or possession of firearms. They did not plead guilty.
Argument that took place in La Gaitana
Prosecutor’s Office prosecuted Jhony José Osorio Segura, 28, for being allegedly responsible for a homicide in an argument.
The facts took place on January 2 in the La Gaitana neighborhood, when he apparently attacked a 25-year-old man with a sharp weapon.
Osorio Segura was arrested in the Blas de Lezo sector by the National Police. In the preliminary hearings he did not plead guilty to aggravated homicide charges.
