A prosecutor from the so-called Unidad de Vida prosecuted Omar Yesid Vivero Hernández for his alleged responsibility in the homicide of a 20-year-old man.

The facts occurred in Ciudad Jardín neighborhood in Cartagena on March 17, where the defendant, who was apparently traveling on a motorcycle with another person, shot the victim, causing his death.

After the attack they tried to flee but their motorcycle broke down so they had to escape on foot through a wooded area.

National Police officers who were near the scene chased the alleged attackers and managed to arrest Vivero Hernández. The other person fled.

During the hearings, the 29-year-old defendant did not plead guilty for the crime of homicide and possession of a firearm.

By order of a judge, he must comply a prison sentence in Cartagena.
