According to the investigation, the defendants attacked the victim with sharp, firearm and blunt weapons.

The evidence presented by a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Risaralda was decisive for the prosecution of five people, allegedly involved in events that occurred on June 10, 2023.

They are: Sebastián Morales Blandón, alias Garosa; Yefry de Jesús Castro Montes, alias Yefry; Jhonier Alexander Cardona González; Juan Daniel Arenas Forero, alias Yeyito and Carlos Arturo Ortiz Murillo.

Information shows that these people, apparently, were the ones who attacked a 33-year-old man with sharp, firearm and blunt weapons, in the so-called El Jardín neighborhood of the municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal (Risaralda).

Despite the severity of the injuries, the victim survived thanks to his prompt transfer to a medical center.

Members of the National Police arrested the defendants and the Prosecutor’s Office accused them of attempted aggravated homicide; and manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. They did not plead guilty to the charges.

At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence to all defendants.
