People allegedly responsible for the murder of a man in Quimbaya, Quindío, were sent to prison

The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Jhon Stiven Madrid Córdoba and Jorge Eliecer Mejía Sánchez in Quimbaya (Quindío) for being allegedly involved in the murder of an 18-year-old young man.

Judicial police activities showed that on January 20, the defendants apparently shot the victim on multiple occasions while he was in Ciudadela del Ensueño neighborhood of the aforementioned municipality.

After committing the crime, the two men were arrested by the National Police in a wooded area to which they fled.

The men were charged with aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking and possession firearms or ammunition.

They did not plead guilty to the charges.

During the arrest that was carried out by the National Police, a firearm was seized.
