At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Alberto José Suárez Linares, for his alleged responsibility in the murder of a man, on December 7th in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
For these facts, he was charged with aggravated homicide, manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and qualified and aggravated theft.
The defendant, apparently, approached two men and threatened them with a firearm to rob their belongings. During the event, he would have shot one of the victims, causing his death.
Judicial activities allowed the Office of the Attorney General to identify the alleged perpetrator in three days. Suárez Linares was arrested on December 10 in a joint work between investigators from the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) and Sijín of the National Police.
