According to the investigation, the crime allegedly occurred in the middle of a fight.

In a coordinated effort between the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police, the homicide of a man which occurred on January 14 in the Guayabal in Maripí (Boyacá) was solved.

Due to the conclusice evidence, William Camilo Garzón Castiblanco was arrested and prosecuted, as allegedly responsible for the crime.

It was established In the investigation that, the aggressor and the victim were talking and subsequently had a fight, where the defendant allegedly wounded  his opponent, causing his immediate death.

Due to these events, a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Boyacá charged the defendant with the crime of homicide. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges and must remain deprived of liberty in a prison by decision of a judge.
