Members of the Technical Investigative Corps ( Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación CTI) in Arauca, in coordination with members of Army in Police and Gaula, arrested Orlando José Soto Berrio, alias Cámara, an alleged member of a criminal organization known as Los de Soto. The arrest was conducted to serve a prison sentence of more than 39 years.

Alias ​​Cámara was found responsible for the commission of three murders that occurred between January and March 2014 in Maní and Yopal (Casanare). For these facts this person was charged with: homicide, conspiracy to commit a crime and manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunition, all aggravated.

‘Los de Soto’

This organization was dismantled in 2017. The Office of the Attorney General found that Los de Soto committed crimes in Guaviare, Meta and Casanare, where they extorted cattle breeders and businessmen; drug trafficking and firearms trafficking, among other crimes.

The investigation determined that the illegal network had a hierarchical organization that sought to control the areas where crimes were committed; in addition to coordinating the production, processing, transportation and sale of narcotics.

A judge in charge of enforcement of sentences ordered to place him at the disposal of the Inpec for his transfer to a prison.
