The Sectional office in Santander prosecuted two men who were apparently extorting a merchant in the municipality of Puerto Wilches (Santander), and were asking him 5 million pesos.

It was established that the victim, was receiving intimidating messages and calls since October demanding money in exchange for letting him work.

The merchant decided to report the facts. The arrest of Benjamín Céspedes Cárdenas and Jefferson Lima Antolines was achieved through a controlled delivery of the money. The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with aggravated extortion.

The two subjects were sent to prison.
