The defendants would be responsible for the trade of drugs in the municipality of Balboa.

The conclusive evidence presented by a specialized prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Risaralda, allowed a judge to issue a detention measure against 13 alleged members of ‘Hercules’ criminal organization, involved in the trade of marijuana, bazuco and cocaine, at least since November 2022.

Investigations  showed that these activities were carried out in coffee plantations in the rural area La Quiebra; in some properties, presumably belonging to the defendants; and in Balboa´s  tolerance zone.

Those involved were charged, according to their individual responsibilities, with trafficking, manufacturing or possession of narcotics, conspiracy to commit a crime and illegal destination of personal property or real estate. They did not plead guilty

Seven of the defendants were sent to prison, six have home confinement
