At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge issued a detention order to twelve alleged members of the criminal gang called Las Villas, which was involved in drug trafficking in the municipality of Floridablanca (Santander).

According to the investigation, this gang operated in Villa Esperanza area and its surroundings where they committed crimes since 2022 and sold drugs using various modalities, a situation that was alerted by the community in the area.

During the arrest carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police, more than 1,000 grams of narcotics such as marijuana and cocaine were seized; in addition to clonazepam pills and a firearm.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime for the purpose of trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics in accordance with their individual criminal responsibilities.
