After accepting the request made by the Attorney General’s Office, a judge issued a detention measure against four alleged members of the criminal group ‘Los del Río’, involved in trafficking narcotic substances in the municipality of Riofrío (Valle del Cauca).
The defendants are Julián Andrés Candela Villabón, Miguel Ángel Patiño Vallejo, Wilson Steven Prado Ceballos and Nelson Steven Jiménez Zapata, who were arrested by virtue of a court order.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the criminal structure is accused of selling marijuana and cocaine in the urban and rural areas of the municipality. The investigations carried out by the Judicial Police shows that ‘Los del Río’ participated in at least 21 criminal events. Likewise, it was established that they used minors for their criminal activities.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged the arrested people with manufacturing, trafficking and possession of narcotics; conspiracy to commit a crime and use of minors to commit crimes.
The four alleged suspects were sent to prison.
