At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge issued a prison sentence against Ener Albeiro Lambraño Vergara, alias Grande, alleged leader of the Gaitanistas Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia (AGC).

The Attorney General’s Office charged him with aggravated homicide and illegal possession of firearms for personal defense (aggravated).

Alias Grande was arrested by virtue of a court order on October 11 by National Police.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office investigation, the facts occurred in the La Ye neighborhood in Caucasia (Antioquia), on August 19 of this year, when several men shot and killed Luis Carlos Londoño García. It was established that alias Grande had ordered the death of the victim.

The work of the judicial police allowed to establish that alias Grande served as the alleged leader of the criminal structure until September 2023, when he fled the area since he was apparently going to be punished by his superiors.
