After a preliminary agreement between the Attorney General’s Office and the defendants’ defense, a judge sentenced three members of the Los Santos criminal group to more than five years in prison, for their responsibility in the commission of drug trafficking, manufacturing or possession of drugs.
According to the investigation, the defendants used their homes to store, distribute and sell narcotic substances in small quantities on public roads, parks and soccer fields located in the neighborhoods of Pisarreal, Montebello 1, Comfanorte, San Remo, Daniel Jordán, Nuevo horizonte, Picheras in the municipality of Los Patios and in Comuna 8 in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
The arrests were carried out on November 25, 2021 in an operation carried out by an Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor and the National Police.
The convicted Yolima Moncada Acosta, Andres Felipe Higuera Sepúlveda and Luis Fabián Pita Meneses will continue deprived of their liberty in La Modelo prison in this city.
