At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge issued a prison sentence against Roberto Segundo Ortiz Acosta, alias Diego, an alleged member of the Clan del Golfo.
According to the investigation, he allegedly began to intimidate and extort a transport company and merchants since July 19 in the area through telephone calls.
Alias Diego, was arrested in flagrante delicto on July 29 in the municipality of San Pablo, by National Police when a victim gave him money from extortion.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with aggravated extortion and attempted aggravated extortion. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
