Before a judge, the Prosecutor’s Office brought eight alleged members of Los Fulanos criminal group involved in drug trafficking activities in the so-called Comuna 5 of Barrancabermeja. They were sent to prison.

It was possible to establish that this structure operated in Primero de Mayo and Miraflores sectors, where they were affecting the security and tranquility of this community that denounced this situation before the authorities.

During the operation carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office, the Police and the National Army, five house searches were carried out and six arrest warrants were issued. Two more people were arrested in flagrante delicto.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with conspiracy to commit a crime, trafficking, manufacturing and possession of drugs. They did not plead guilty.

Those arrested people are: Miguel Antonio Correa Vesga, Mario Daniel Ortiz, John Jairo Nieto, Óscar Eduardo Pérez, Sneider López, Kerlu Arce, Katherine Paba and Jefferson Villareal.
