CTI members of the Office of the Attorney General, Sijín Judicial Police and and Gaula from Army, arrested a man identified as Martin Alonso Gómez Lozada who was prosecuted for the homicide.
Investigative work indicates that the events occurred in August 2020 in the rural area named Lejanías, municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, inside a store, where a fight apparently occurred and Gómez Lozada allegedly attacked Janer Smith Girón Carrillo with a knife.
The victim suffered a serious chest injury that caused his death.
At the end of the hearings, the defendant did not plead guilty to the charges brought by the prosecutor of the so-called Unidad de Vida – Sectional Office in Caquetá. He must serve home confinement.
