Wilson Trigos López, alias Wilson, alleged member of the ELN’s Carlos Armando Cacua Guerrero Front, which operates in the municipalities of Hacarí, San Calixto, Belén beach, Ocaña and Abrego (Norte de Santander) was arrested and prosecuted under the coordination of a Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in Norte de Santander, in a joint operation between the Police and the National Army.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendant with the crimes of rebellion, conspiracy to commit a crime, and trafficking, manufacturing or drug possession.
According to the investigations, the man would be in charge of transporting, storing and selling narcotic substances with the purpose of financing the illicit activities of this structure.
The arrest of alias Wilson took place on September 17 on a public road in Ocaña (Norte de Santander). Likewise, a home search was carried out at his place of residence where pistol-type firearms and more than 17 million pesos were found.
The man who did not plead guilty was sent to prison.
