At the request of a prosecutor of the Sectional Office in Risaralda Section, a judge sent Andrés Felipe Mulato Ramírez to prison, and ordered house arrest for Santiago Marulanda Loaiza who would be responsible for the homicide of a 33 years old man   in Pereira.

The facts occurred on July 4, 2022 at Rocío Alto neighborhood in Risaralda when the two defendants, who were driving a vehicle, intercepted a truck and apparently shot the driver, Robert Edward Peña Zapata, causing his death.

For these facts, the Prosecutor’s Office charged the two people with aggravated homicide and possession of firearms. They did not plead guilty to the charges.

The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.
