After approving the preliminary agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge sentenced Omar Navarro Salazar to 39 years and 2 months in prison for his responsibility in the crime of femicide.
The facts took place on January 4, 2021 in the Los Aceitunos neighborhood, in the municipality of Gamarra (Cesar), when in the middle of a fight the convicted man attacked his former partner with a firearm causing her death. They had a 22-year relationship.
The victim, a 40-year-old woman, would have ended the relationship in October 2020 due to the continuous attacks of which she was a victim.
The condemned man was arrested in a flagrante delicto by the police.
