At the request of the Sectional Office in Cundinamarca, a judge ordered a prison sentence against 11 alleged members of a criminal structure in charge of selling drugs in the municipalities of Flandes and Ambalema (Tolima).
The investigations carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office, with the support of the SIJIN judicial police, indicate that the defendants apparently carried out forced disappearances in Rio Magdalena, in addition to the systematic displacement of families located in various neighborhoods of these municipalities.
Likewise, the evidence indicates that they committed homicides against drug dealers of other micro-trafficking organizations using minors to commit these illicit acts. The events were committed between August 16, 2021 and July 2022.
A special prosecutor charged them with aggravated homicide, forced displacement, forced disappearance, aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime; trafficking, manufacturing or possession of drugs: illegal possession of firearms, threats, and use of minors to commit crimes.
