At the request of a prosecutor from the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations, a judge sent Jhonathan Stewar Amador Castillo, alias Maldad, an alleged member of Los Costeños, to prison.

The evidence shows that alias ‘Maldad’ is, apparently,  responsible for coordinating multiple illegal activities in Barranquilla and other municipalities of Atlántico; among these, is the collection of money derived from extortions.

Amador Castillo was arrested in a joint action between the Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police in Atlántico. Two revolver-type firearms, 19 cartridges, and three notebooks with alleged information about victims of extortion were found in his possession. Likewise, the motorcycle on which he was riding was seized.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with manufacturing, trafficking, and possessing firearms. The defendant was sent to prison.

The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.
