The Attorney General’s Office obtained a prison sentence against Andrés Felipe Salomons Salinas, allegedly responsible for the armed attack in which a patrolwoman died and another officer was seriously injured.

The facts under investigation occurred on June 22 in the urban area of ​​the municipality of Santafé de Antioquia. That day two alleged members of the Clan del Golfo attacked the patrolwoman Andry Vanessa Merlano Amaya, 25 years old.

As a result of this criminal action, patrolman Jonathan Armando Agreda Insuasty also was seriously injured. These facts occurred while the victims were carrying out the surveillance in the sector.

Salomons Salinas was arrested by Sijín officers of the National Police on June 27 in the municipality of Aguachica (Cesar).
