A request made by a prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit (Unidad de Reacción Inmediata URI) in Cartagena was approved by a judge and imposed a detention measure against a man allegedly responsible for the crime of domestic violence.
The facts under investigation occurred on the 17th of this month in Fredonia neighborhood, where National Police officers arrested the 30-year-old man in flagrante delicto, after he apparently physically attacked his sentimental partner.
Later in the process, it was established that the alleged attacks to her 27-year-old partner were committed during the seven years of living together and that even in 2022, he allegedly injured her with a knife because she had decided to end the relationship.
The person allegedly involved and who did not accept responsibility must serve a sentence in La Heroica prison.
