Yéferson Jairo Jiménez Rico and Carlos Arturo Ochica Salas were arrested on June 14 in the San Agustín neighborhood of the municipality of Aguazul (Casanare), after apparently stealing a cell phone from a food transporter.
The investigation indicates that the arrested people managed to steal said element and fled on a motorcycle that due to its characteristics was located minutes later by the police who found them in possession of the stolen cell phone valued at one million two hundred thousand pesos.
A prosecutor belonging to the Sectional Office in Casanare brought them before a judge in the municipality of Aguazul, and charged them with theft. They did not plead guilty to the charges. They were sent to prison.
It should be pointed out that those arrested are repeat offenders in this type of behavior and have criminal records.
