The Technical Investigative Corps (Cuerpo Tecnico de Investigación CTI) carried out home searches on commercial premises involved in the sale of shoes of exclusive counterfeit brands.

The Sectional Office in Cundinamarca through its CTI judicial police, carried out 8 home searches on commercial premises in Girardot, (Cundinamarca), where nearly 1800 pairs of shoes of prestigious counterfeit brands were seized.

During the operations, three people were arrested. They are investigated for their alleged responsibility in the crimes of usurpation of industrial property rights and plants breeders’ rights.

The seized merchandise is valued at about 200 million pesos and was destroyed by CTI officers belonging to the Attorney General´s Office.
