A prison sentence was imposed on people allegedly responsible for the death of two minors in the rural area of ​​Valledupar

In Valledupar (Cesar), the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado announced the clarification of the death of two minors in the rural area of ​​that city. This is a recent result obtained by the National Working Group on Gender Violence (Grupo de Trabajo Nacional de Violencia de Género) in regard to crimes that affect women, children, and adolescents, and in which Law 2098 of July 6, 2021 is enforceable (Law of life imprisonment for those who murder and sexually abuse children).

Based on the arguments presented by a prosecutor of the Sectional Office in Cesar, a judge of Valledupar sentenced Luis David Pérez Pertuz, alias Lucho Rabo and Deibis Rapalino García; people allegedly involved in the death of two minors.

The facts took place last July 25 in a farm located in the Camperucho, rural area of ​​Valledupar (Cesar) in which two adolescents, 12 and 15 years old, were murdered.

The judicial police work showed that Pérez Pertuz entered the farm violently in the company of García, and asked for one of the residents. It is believed that when they did not find him, they attacked two women who were beaten on several occasions.

In addition, it was established that when the minors witnessed the attacks and intervened. The defendants allegedly injured them on multiple occasions with a sharp weapon, causing their death.

Pérez Pertuz was caught in flagrante delicto by National Police officers who arrived at the scene thanks to the warning from the neighbors. Meanwhile, García was arrested by the authorities in the municipality of San Diego (Cesar) on July 27.

For these facts, the Office of the Attorney General charged the defendants as allegedly responsible for the crime of aggravated homicide. The defendants pleaded guilty to the charge
