Attorney General’s Office brought Jhonatan Fernando Álvarez Rodríguez, allegedly involved in the aggravated femicide of his former sentimental partner, before a supervisory judge in Ibagué.

The facts took place on April 18 in the Palermo neighborhood in Ibagué (Tolima) in which a 29-year-old woman was allegedly attacked by the defendant who was detained by the National Police when he allegedly tried to run away.

The evidence proves that the victim was attacked with a knife. She died shortly after in a health center in the city.

The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges in the hearing*. Meanwhile, the judge in the case imposed a prison sentence against the person implicated.

Charges will be brought in the next hearing.
