Last Friday, a court of the Circuit of Ibagué (Tolima) carried out a hearing to issue a guilty verdict against Diego Fernando Morales Molina. he was prosecuted for the crimes of aggravated femicide, aggravated murder, and manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunition.
The judicial officer announced that the defendant must serve 50 years in prison after being found responsible for the crimes that were brought by the Office of the Attorney General.
Likewise, an accessory sentence of 20 years was imposed for which he can not, for that period of time, hold public office or exercise his right to vote.
The Office of the Attorney General demonstrated that the defendant had a romantic relationship with the victim, and after finishing it, he began to threaten and stalk her.
On May 5, 2019, day in which facts took place in the neighborhood Terrazas del Tejar in Ibagué (Tolima), the convicted man arrived at the woman’s house when she was having a conversation with a neighbor, Robinson Vargas, and the defendant immediately opened fire on the two people.
The woman died immediately, while Vargas died two days later in a hospital in the main city of Tolima.
