The Office of the Attorney General informs:

1.  By order of the manufacturer Bombardier (BAS) and in order to guarantee airworthiness conditions, the FAC 1216 aircraft owned by the institution must carry out the preventive maintenance according to the flight hours, which is carried out in a service center in Fort Lauderdale, United States.

2. Complying with the sanitary measures decreed by the National Government within the framework of Covid-19 and in agreement with the airplane manufacturer, the maintenance flight was scheduled for May 23 this year.

3.   The date of maintenance of the FAC 1216 aircraft at the Bombardier service center (BAS), in Fort Lauderdale, United States was from May 23 to June 12, 2020.

 4. For the round trips, the aircraft had an Air Force crew, without passengers, that was integrated by a pilot, a copilot, and a flight technician, complying with the Colombian Air Force regulations. 

5.    This travel had the approval of the Ministry of National Defense and Migration authority in Colombia. It started in the city of Bogotá, with a technical stopover in the city of Barranquilla and its destination was the city of Fort Lauderdale.

6. Within the framework of the “Transparency for the Emergency” strategy, carried out by the Office of the Attorney General and with an official work agenda in the territories, a recent official visit was made to the Department of San Andrés with an outward flight on June 26 and return flight on June 29 of 2020.

7.    The most recent flight of the FAC 1216 aircraft was on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, Bogotá – San Andrés – Bogotá to transport the security team needed for all the official visits.
