Under the coordination of the Special Prosecutor’s Office appointed to Gaula, Freddy Eduardo Riascos Chalapud and Guillermo Barrios Briñez, who had allegedly been victims of extortive kidnapping by the residual organized armed group (GAO) E-10 Farc, were rescued on June 12, in the Department of Arauca.
Information of intelligence allowed to locate the premises where the two alleged victims would be, after which the Office of the Attorney General ordered the search proceedings that led to their release in the small town named Puerto Jordán (Arauquita).
In the early hours of the morning of June 20, investigators Gaula-CTI of the Office of the Attorney with the support of the Army and the National Police, arrived at the located area and rescued the 2 people.
The Office of the Attorney General began the investigation against the residual organized armed group GAOr E 10 for extortive kidnapping committed against the rescued individuals.
