The Office of the Attorney General continues in its fight against acts of corruption in which resources of Colombian citizens related to pensions are affected. During the week, four cases have been reported. Two people were convicted and two other were charged.

The 6th Criminal Court of Barranquilla sentenced Margarita Isabel Mendoza Bolaños to 4 years and 2 months for the crimes of aggravated fraud, use of a false document, and Forgery of a private document.27
The facts for which the defendant was convicted are related to the illegal collection of money that was carried out even though her mother had died. In order to obtain these payments the woman submitted false certificates of survival.
