After two weeks of hearings (audiencias concentradas)* in which the Office of the Attorney General charged 28 alleged members of the criminal gang La Raspa with aggravated drug possession, trafficking and manufacturing offenses and coercion of minors to commit crimes, a guarantee judge (juez de garantias) issued a preventive detention order with imprisonment.
According to the investigation, this structure distributed and sold cocaine and marijuana in different municipalities of Santander, Boyacá and Cundinamarca. Educational institutes and sport venues were the favorite places for sales.
