A corruption network integrated by Dian officials and private individuals who sold confiscated machinery was dismantled

Office of the Attorney General, the National Police and the National Directorate of Taxes and Customs (DIAN)* discovered that the criminal structure allegedly simulated the destruction of machinery, engines and other confiscated products that had actually been sold. As a result, 9 officials and 2 private individuals were arrested.

During two years, the  Office of the Attorney General and  National Police, through the Taxes and Customs Police, examined in detail the official reports on seized or abandoned machinery that would have been scrapped in a foundry company hired by the National Directorate of Taxes and Customs (DIAN) in Sogamoso (Boyacá).
