In Ecuador and Mexico, 10 and 17 people were respectively arrested. They would be part of the same criminal structure
The Office of the Attorney General is now prosecuting before the 25th guarantee court (control de garantías), eight alleged members of a criminal structure involved in trafficking drugs to Central America and the United States.
The operation which was coordinated by a special prosecutor of the Special Unit against Drug Trafficking (Diran) was also supported by the National Police, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Ecuadorian and Mexican authorities.
