Alleged murderer of police lieutenant who belonged to the security team of the Governor´s Office in Valle was sent to prison

Alias Caliche has previous criminal record and a conviction for theft and arms trafficking

A preventive detention order with imprisonment was issued by the 26th Municipal Court in Cali against Carlos Andrés Díaz Velasco, alias Caliche, alleged murderer of the police lieutenant, Duver Orlando Daza Gil, who belonged to the security team of the Governor in Valle del Cauca.

A prosecutor of a Reaction Unit (Unidad de reacción Inmediata URI) charged alias Caliche with aggravated murder in conjunction with manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms, accessories, parts and ammunitions, in conjunction with aggravated robbery. Defendant did not plead guilty to the charges.
