The Office of the Attorney General ordered a seizure process on 58 properties that were initially valued at 150 billion pesos that would be in the name of people involved in several acts of corruption in San Andrés or that would have served to support illegal actions that put at risk more than 120 billion pesos belonging to the Department. Almost 400 million pesos were seized in the proceedings.
Operation ‘Diez…Por ciento’ moves forward to its second phase with the purpose of identifying and seizing assets of those involved in a corruption scheme, in which a group of builders made contributions to political campaigns or paid 10% of their contracts in exchange for the awarding of road, social and development projects.
