An Asset Forfeiture Process has been ordered on a farm belonging to the Medellin Cartel

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, the 1^st Specialized Circuit Court on Assets Forfeiture in Antioquia ordered to transfer the property named Candalaima which is located in San Lucas, El Poblado neighbourhood, in the city of Medellin to the State since it was considered that this property was purchased with illegal resources of the no longer existing cartel ‘Medellin Cartel’.

The property which is located at calle 19 sur Número 17 -119 appears in the name of Arturo Cardeño since December 30, 1992.

According to investigations, the alleged owner was a deaf-mute person who works washing cars and he only knows how to sign documents and by the time of facts, he did not have enough economic resources to buy this property which was valued at 85’048. 000 million pesos.
