The Office of the Attorney General charged former Governor of Norte de Santander,  William Villamizar Laguado, before the High Court of Bogotá. He was charged with embezzlement and execution of contracts without compliance of legal requirements.

This investigation is related to a contract signed on December 14, 2009, during the first term of office of the current governor, to the amount of 6 billion pesos for the supply of rock material. The agreement was signed by the Secretary´s Office of Infrastructure and contractor Pedro Antonio Silva, owner of the commercial establishment named Triturador La Roca.

During the process, the Office of the Attorney General gathered evidence which showed the parties in the contract violated the contracting principles and caused a detriment to public funds of the Department of Norte de Santander.
