At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a judge in Pereira (Risaralda) imposed a prison sentence to Alexander Moreno, allegedly responsible for committing at least six thefts from commercial establishments, which involved medical supplies, beauty products, works of art, and even a law firm.
The incidents took place between August 2024 and October 2025. Apparently, Moreno took advantage of the early morning hours to enter various establishments located in the main city of Risaralda. He allegedly took items valued at more than 48 million COP.
For these acts, a prosecutor charged the defendant as the alleged perpetrator of agravated qualified theft. He did not plead guilty.
