The defendant allegedly caused the death of a farm worker at the property where the events took place.

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Héctor Zambrano, accused of murdering his former sentimental partner and another man, at a farm located in the San Lorenzo village of Cajamarca (Tolima).

A prosecutor belonging to the branch office in Tolima (Seccional Tolima) charged him with femicide and homicide, both aggravated, as well as manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges.

The facts took place on December 1, when Zambrano arrived at the house where his former partner lived and allegedly shot her. Then, he went to another house located on the same property and allegedly killed a worker.

These crimes were apparently committed during an episode of jealousy. Zambrano was arrested in flagrante by the National Police.
