At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge ordered a prison sentence against eight people accused of selling illicit substances at Manuela Beltrán park in Bucaramanga (Santander). 

Judicial police work revealed how the defendants had settled there due to the high attendance of national and foreign citizens. They allegedly sold illicit substances there between March and June of this year. 

The joint actions between the Office of the Attorney General, the National Police and Army led to the arrest of Elvis Jesús Sajonero Mantilla, Giraldo Gamboa Henao, Hébert Eliab Torres Suárez, Sergio Andrés Ospina Barrera, Brian Schneider Ruiz Bravo, Camilo Andrés Rivera Monoga, Didier Santiago Quiroga Arce and Juan Sebastián Villamizar Sandoval. 

All of them were charged with drug trafficking, manufacturing, or possession. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
